Here are the final realtime Renders from Marmoset Toolbag. Please comment, I really did work very hard on this stump and it took a lot of time and effort. My next project will be the wooden chest. http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s395/animesh58/?action=view¤t=stump_turntable_01.mp4…
Not incredibly necessary unless you're doing intense colour work or know you'll be viewing it from the side a lot. It can actually be beneficial to avoid IPS monitors since they're fairly known for "IPS glow" in the cheaper range. TN panels these days are usually high quality with a fairly big field of view before the…
I use Softimage professionally as well and have just decided to use Xnormal for baking and Marmoset toolbag for viewing. Both in my opinion do a much better job at baking and viewing than even Max so it's just as well that they are used instead. However it's hard to beat Softimage for rendering AO maps (mental ray) so I…
Using Hammersley seems to soften the specks, but it doesn't remove them. It's getting cleaner, but it's not perfect. Here's an up close shot of the mag where the specs are still visible: Also, when I view my model using 3Do, there are a lot of smoothing errors. However, viewing the model in 3Ds max makes it look fine. I'm…
Your hips are still going to far out to the side. Look at it from the front view. Also, given your reference, you should show it to us from both those views as well. We can also give better critiques if you upload your videos to syncsketch.com instead of youtube. we can scrub through and give draw over crits and notes…
I didn't know it was from a management view point. Still I don't think anything I said was out of line. Just my view on the whole situation. Most of what I said doesn't apply now though heh. However I do not believe a public 'outing' of said individuals should ever be considered. Just not professional imo. No bad feelings…
The overall design of the gun is way too flat and almost everything looks like the same width. Compare this to other guns or more real world guns, there's maybe 50% of the general forms that are flat when viewed from the side, but the rest is large slopes, curves, and angled. The 3d model just looks like it was designed…
That picture of him is not straight on profile view. It is in slight perspective (3/4 view). If you zoom in, you can actually see a sliver of his upper eyelid sticking out on the other side (right at the break where nasal bone meets the brow ridge). Just be careful when choosing your reference. With that said, I would…
2, 46ich £100, rear-views and a 56ich, £800 rear-view. Occasionally i set them up for multi-monitor mayhem and the picture quality is pretty decent. Not as a good as a plasma or Led/Lcd but it does the job brilliantly running on Hdmi's. Just saying if your looking for a lower budget tv and then invest in something else,…
I've seen this problem on the cheap LCD's their viewing angle is usually very low, 90 degree's or less. You might want to lookup the stats on the screen and see what the viewing angle is. Also make sure you are running at the LCD's native resolution. Using different resolution's than the native, can result in "the screen…
