I use a wacom comic. Its A5, so quite small You can set it up to app detect so I have 3d programs use the middle of the tablet. With dual moitors it naturally goes to one side. Also I forgot here is the Maya Python API. When you click on each function there should be a pretty good tutorial at the bottom. For the GUI you can start with the window() function. There are multiple buttons aswel like radioButton(), button(), etc. Just play around with it, it really gets easy after a while.… -

There is the missing plugins sceneexplorer which should list the nodes and ( i think) materials which own a modifier/map/material type of a plugin that is not installed in the current 3ds Max etc..
