Started work on the sheath. You may be asking how the hell the sword slides into this thing. Well, the top edge is open along most of it's length, except near the tip. The bottom edge is connected (sewed closed) along it's entire length.
Thanks Hito, your methods seem great, but I can't get a surface constraint to work? Under nconstrain I can see point, slide or tearable, but none of them work. I'm kind of lost here
No idea about constant distance. Seems to just have it equal distance apart. Usually just throws the loops and slide them around/scale in the horizontal plane. To get out of the tool, just hit w or q.
It looks like the character is sliding their foot into place when it lands. This is probably from the lack of a full extension in the highest keyframe. I didn't open the video in quicktime to scrub through it, so it's an educated guess on my part.
Damn that was cool. All I wanna know is, where can I get a car that will slide sideways for half a mile then allow me to keep going at the same speed I was?! Haha, wonderful idea and well done!
Dude I wouldnt mind working for ubi. Is montreal cool? do you have any water slides? Oh yeah and do you have a station that only plays Kids In the hall? If so, count me in.
I prefer the bamboo. Other than not being able to configure the buttons differently for each app you use it has a nicer feel to the surface. is more like drawing on paper than sliding over an oily surface.
there is a wiki entry about vertex editing here: http://wiki.polycount.com/VertexNormal?highlight=%28slide%29 just use Slide's Normal Tool on a plane you made (make simple plane flow over your grass area and then subdivide it)
the eyes offset is most easily fixed by unbinding, removing the bind pose, and rebinding them. Since they 100% weight to a single joint this is an easy fix. if during the setup of the fit skeleton it complains about joints not being zeroed out this can also be the issue, if you ignored that. One time I had a similar issue…
the only people/things that get regularly sliced into pieces in Star Wars are battle droids and the Geonosians in Ep 2. some of it is from the technical limitations present in the Original Trilogy (Jabba's thugs just falling down when Luke swings at them) but dismemberment in regards to humans are limited to a few severed…
