Ummm, these are not 100% correct numbers but roughly : 3 grass props 4 trees (1 with dead branches , 3 green, different in shape) 2 types of ferns ( mainly for the caves) 3 variatons of ivy around 5-6 rock props ( with some scale and rotating you can create amazing variety with very low number of props, i eas really…
Love the architecture/style, having the wooden stalls feel like they're lifted off the ground more would sell the scene a ton more, and the red draping could drop even lower, give it more weight - really great work with the smaller props
I finally put those into Unity. Still messing with lighting and colour. In the meantime zbrushing some props (sorry for the terrible cropping): Yeah I know those refiels are so so... couldn't really find reference I was happy with. And here is Unity screenshot:
Added shield and some other props. Andrew worked on lighting and post proc, final screenshots below: Btw, I already recorded a video, but I still need to finish editing. I will post result soon to wrap up this thread. Thanks for watching!
Props to Dan for Baroness and Teeth of Lions Rule the Divine. Prog Metal: ALCHEMIST, SOLARBURN: [ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSZG-tKPBeY&NR=1[/ame] A friend of mine borrowed my Alchemist CD and never gave it back. Good stuff.
For future reference, it's better to print screen or save out a quick render of your prop. Offscreen pics make it harder to see what you're doing, especially as from what I can see, your lamp post is heavily cropped out.
There are a couple of factors in this. The pro of doing it that way is you have fewer draw calls. Less textures floating around that could clutter up a directory. The con to doing that is if one of those props was the perfect prop for another artist to use in his scene, and he only wanted the one prop, he's then having to…
Thanks I really appreciate your help.. @slosh that 'yet' gives me hope. So should I stay away from realistic stuff and push into the stylized territory? Would putting a realistic character in there even make sense? @Ged will drop a prop in there then. Thanks.
Here is another prop in a similar style as the bike. I recently did some updates and cleanup on the texture. I originally had it in the scene, but I felt it made it kind of unbalanced so I took it out. One day I will expand the scene and drop it back in.
