Nope. You have to make static meshes that you can use as a trim around the jagged terrain edges.

It's impossible for you to meet your texel density requirements with a reasonable sized unique texture, best bet is to look into tileables/trims.

Imagine I'm doing a sand corner. I have a texture with a top and bottom trim. How can I better construct the mesh so that it gets the most undistorted UVs?

Nah, invisible war was just a bit ahead of its time, bioshock trimmed down the fps/rpg at the just the right time. ;)
