Honoured that Seagull Shack has been featured in the Polycount March 2018 Recap! Incredible work by everyone, as usual. Feel like an impostor being amongst them  Check it out here: http://polycount.com/discussion/199910/polycount-recap-march-2018
My current favorite podcast is Roguelike Radio. It's mostly focused on game design. Also, Polycount's search function kinda sucks. Use Google to properly search Polycount by typing something like this into your browser's search box instead: site:www.polycount.com/forum/ podcast
I'm holding him off until CGchat comes back online. He was made for CGchat so I just think it would be a fun welcome back In the mean time I'm working on a demon for Polycount: Polycount Demoness There is also a SDK for her. - BoBo
Kraftwerk: Skin City and Polycount have mostly the same stuff. Of course SC accepts a lot of crap but all of the good stuff is available there, too. Many submitters have given up on sending stuff to Polycount because submissions took forever to get posted.
Wow. No one? That really sucks. I was hoping to meet some fellow polycounters there if nothing else. :( Well, if there are lurkers who are going but just haven't responded to this thread. I'll be sporting my Polycount shirt, so it should be easy enough to find me around.
Hi! You might want to check out the long-running How The F*#% Do I Model This? - Reply for help with specific shapes - (Post attempt before asking) thread, which contains all sorts of sub-div modeling situations imaginable. For sub-div modeling generally, I think FrankyPolygons' Sketchbook is worth a look for…
I don't think polycount should worry about whether their contest overlaps. Considering you never know when a gameartisans challenge will actually start, it's impossible to really plan around it. And realistically, polycount comps are better managed by a long shot, so they should continue doing what they're doing.
Well, now I'm working on the composition of the scene. And here is where I'm now. All comments and crits will be appreciated. And a side question. Does anyone know where to see polycount of particle systems in UDK? I need total polycount for the scene, but could find only statistics for static meshes. :poly134:
Thanks Adam, Seth, Rogue for making Verold happen in Polycount! You'll see a "3D" icon in the Polycount editor that you can use to embed Verold 3D scenes directly in your posts. Here's the result (thanks to Ben Day for this AWESOME scene inspired by Archvile in Doom): [VEROLD]51f41af3a9107602000003cb[/VEROLD]
