well what im thinking that this would be a very old venasaur perhaps coming to the end of its life .. sick i know :p but his life cycle is that he wouldnt move at all , and that he is becoming rock and his flower will perhaps become a tree ? still undecided , hence the solid parts on his knees and shoulders , i do agree… -

Aesthetics will always win out over practicality if we're talking about it from your viewpoint, that of costumes 'working'. Yes it's ridiculous to see characters with all their floppy bits hanging out while the rest of them is armoured to the teeth... but it seems to be a style that's here to stay unfortunately. Alemja, Thanks so much for taking the time for such detailed feedback, I appreciate it. All valid points. The whale and Dinotaur are both properly modelled and unwrapped. As an animator, I agree that this would be a niche product. I don't agree that [all] animators would prefer mo-cap. I think it's cool, and I may buy one when I see a complete feature list. I think it could be very useful in production. In fact the Jurassic Park movies were animated with mannequins. Even Pixar did research… -
