Well Seforin, one big problem with Canada is that as a job market, its flooded with applicants from the U.S,UK as well as Canada. At the moment it feels like it is a tough nut to crack. Your portfolio is good, you should be getting more callbacks but right now its a buyers market.
What does it take to put a model into one of these I wonder? I looked around on the net, but the info is rather scarce from what I've searched. I wonder what the specs for a model would need to be, and what filetype ... I heard the PsP can use .3ds models.
lol apparently when I tried to drag and drop it has to be within toolbar range ^^ not outside .. it is interesting also I just found the macro script for that on net and you pointed out whats the difference between ms vs macro script thanks very much for the help and tips :) !!
Yeah, I'm very fresh at concepting. I think I'll search the net for referance or maybe a concept I can base myself on if can't suddenly fix/simplify my own. How does it work with modeling from someone else's concept? Ask for permission and credit the artist?
It's difficult to convey thought on the internet since you can't see the facial expressions or hear inflections. I found people taking offense to things I was saying when I first started posting on the net. I quickly learned to use smilies (and now probably do that to much)
pretty good overall, I would add some scratches or dirt to the poles on the chain link fence, feels kinda flat. Also, its little, but I think making the post that suspends the net a little thinner would give it a better sense of scale. go environments, go
Bumping this really old thread instead of making a new one. Would someone do me a favor and check if some of my image galleries on my site are loading within reasonable times for you guys. It seems to be slow for me for some reason but my net is always weird.
since its the only trailer on the net for the film i bet they took it off for bandwidth reasons. thank god for youtube , too bad its crappy quality, the high quality version was so nice, the environment rendering is amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyqRh3caaLI&search=Ratatouille
Yup ropes lots of rope, maybe fishing nets too and/or a fish stand or barrels full of fish next to fruit stand? Now that I think about it aside from the palm trees not much in this scene strikes me as a port town yet, sandy ground will probably help.
Not everything needs a highpoly, thats for sure.. I did the wires so that A.) I could generate a clean alpha map and B.) general a clean normal map from it. To me, it was easier going this route then fiddling with an image from the net until I got all that I wanted.
