Depends on the scene, with culling active, you could say you have a budget of 1500 video ram for high end cards with 2048 MB, so if a 4k takes 25 MB you know how often you can use it. well i was meaning unique in terms of on screen at one time....which in the case of a realistic city, there is a huge variation, making sure all props that are generally on screen 1 at a time all use a single draw call is way more important than say a lamp post where you may have 20 INSTANCES on screen at once...fair… -

Id seriously consider getting a case if you plan on getting any of the newer gen graphic cards. They are huge for one. and they also put out a ton of heat.
