I just saw one of their textures it was front of buildings, back of buildings, windows, doors etc and just assumed it was thrown together in photoshop and the geo mapped over it in game. Now i know there's allot more to it in terms of planning etc
yeah Im gonna be able to replace everything thankfully but its still a pain in the ass having to wait for check and deal with deductible etc etc oh well luckily I have insurance and it could've been much worse.

Is it possible to combine groups? I've been looking for a feature like that. Like say I make a group called Diffuse. Then inside I make group A, group B, etc, and then have it spit out DiffuseA.tga, DiffuseB.tga, etc.
Im only referring to setting up shaders in modo to texture a bit for me. Mostly using cubicmapped textured mixed with occlusionshaders as masking etc to get decent grime in creases etc. Also mixing in some generated weightmaps :)
Oh, I'm glad you found it nice! :D I want it to be even more lifely, adding more props, lights, advertising panels, props, etc etc. It should came out quite good, I hope... ;)
There's a tonne of editing that goes into them. Removing shadows, painting over, levels adjustment etc etc. Some people also paint over pictures as a base for hand painted textures. So yeah there's definitely people that use them.
