quake 3 is pretty easy to mod. I ran a mod group called GTP back in the day. good quick feedback to models or maps you make. shaders are wonderfull to script, if a little unpredictable at times. baking high polys for AO maps must be so time consuming considering you could get a very similar effect by painting details yourself, especially as most of the details on the tank are just rivets and bolts -

I wouldn't say that. Energy conservation is dependent upon the formulation of the BRDF problem. If the diffuse BRDF and specular BRDF aren't identically formulated (meaning they are derived from exactly the same microfacet description) then the microfacet model is broken and energy conservation must be applied more like an… -

Updated the body mesh a little more and started on detailing it - mainly around the hands as they'll be the most visible bit. Mostly just wanted the shapes for simming clothing. I did also check this body in UE5 and it seems to work fine in the Metahuman Creator as a 'template'. Tried my best to make a marvelous designer… -
