tokidokizenzen: Sweet concept, thought it was a model at first glance. Realized I can't call myself a 3D artist if I've never made a wooden barrel. So I've been working on the ubiquitous wooden barrel... That's also a sentry robot. Impractical? Yes. Fun? Oh yes. Just testing out some of the mechanics. Still WIP
Baked the lowpoly of my Planetcracker! Two textures packs with normal/spec/diff/glow, some parts still need to be (re)baked. Just throw a basic material and some colors on it. Now its NDO time, creating more surface detail like on top of the "arm" in second picture. Pics are made with Xoliulshader, 3ds Max.
first experimentation about dynamesh for a full 3D character, it was fun to play with ! the character was inspired from Kurt Papstein's work (aka KPtoons) that i really like the shape of his characters next step will be mass effect clothes style. i will try a mix between salarian and asari design. there the character : any…
You've really come a long way, daphz. That's some fantastic work. The clothes look great, and his hands are very natural. @g2000, yeah, that's a Joe Madureira concept I screencapped from a Darksiders 2 video. And I've totally got an agenda for making Joe's concepts into 3d :) Will start a thread on my next update.
Sooo, I decided to creat a new series.. kind of a world.. ye, that is called DEMONOLOGY, so I guess you know what it's about I got a lot of the stuff thought out so.. hopefully I will write something down about it.. even though my english and writing sucks so.. but anyways, here we have Dunn who is the main character of…
Loving the work here so far. I_R: Awesome pistol dude. Agree on toning down the noise on the grip. Devin Busha: Reeeally loving those colors on your machine. Would love to see it in 3D ;) Been poking at this since the start of the year. Been having problems with my bakes. Really want to improve my texturing skills for this…
Impressive stuff, keep up the great work everyone. Here's my fav thing I created today in the office(WIP). It's overpainted 3D weapon render I created earlier for a 2D handheld game. Weapons should be stylized, kinda like brink weapon textures + zombie apocalypse factor. I'm responsible for 20+ weapons, this is one of them:
3DS max screen grabs of the Low poly of my Sci-Fi incubator with Normals and a pass on AO. I'm using directX shader material set to standard FX.... Does anyone have a better suggestion on a material setup to view normals and AO in the viewport that will also render out nicely? When i render it, it looks like poo poo!
looks very fake green is way too saturated cars' extruded pieces like the hood are too extreme. the bumps on there are kind of subtle the noise on the color of the cars, yellow, red etc makes them look 3d and not at all realistic text on the road is distracting and adds to the fakeness of the image. if you were shooting…
after a 3d hiatus for a while I'm finally working on a project I orignally started for the Comicon challenge over at Gameartisans but never finished. Currently just sketching in some folds before moving to the bodyarmor to model all the straps and details, head is not finished yet still has some tubes that need to be done…
