i'm not sure, i mean loo how thin those edges are for the bowl thing, too thin enough to have some nasty visible pixel-overlap across the edges diagonally
Hey BucketOFnuggets Ty. There really is nothing special , it is just working with low res models and low res textures so the textures are more pixel pushed. here is another base one
Sorry for the late reply! I'm currently working on modeling more organic stuff and also learning how to translate cool pixel art textures into a nice render. I completely agree with everything you pointed out and I might make another mushroom soon. Lysæna said: Thanks a lot, Lysaena! I've been honing my pixel art…
Looks cool leisure. You can just uv half, mirror it. Then select the polys you don't want mirrored, and mirror their uv's, move them elsewhere for painting. It's easier to only uv half and just flip the uvs then it is to uv the entire mesh. I think maybe you need to look at pixel density. Add a checkerboard pattern to your…
Melviso: It depends on the screen resolution of final output device, how close the camera is going to get to the subject, and how much pixelation is acceptable to you. For example, let's say you're doing an extreme close up so the only thing on screen is the character's face. To avoid any pixelation you'd need to match the…
pixel art render setup thread http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=97311 models from Thumbzilla from that thread also: http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=74.msg736603#msg736603
changed it so the lasers are beefier. yeah pixel art should totally be allowed here. i'm a really big fan of the cave, takumi, and ZUN shmups and certainly wish the genre was widespread again.
loving the top half heavy style, looking good it may just be me but the hands look abit funny though. my ultra low poly pixel art tribute to a musical genius.
Well im new to the 3D modeling scene, and have onlt recently learned some of blender, so I made this primitive dude from a pixel art I did a while back.
Stylized/hand painted low poly weapons : Kitchen props (some of them are unfinished on this pic) : Pixel style with normalmaps: Pickups: I made these at my new job for various mobile games :)
