Xpost from my thread :3 - Working more on some material definition tonight, especially the skin. Want this finished by the end of the month if possible so I can get stuck into something new and put what I've learnt this time around into fresh practice. Feedback welcome!
hey everybody, yesterday i finished most of the work on my Cryengine 3 SDK personal project so I decided to post some in-game shots .I worked on this around 3-4 months after work ( I work as environment artist at Ubisoft Sofia, so until recenetly we were pretty busy finishing our work on Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag) and…
Game res asset I messed with over the weekend. Texture isn't done but it's in UE4 at about 3,000 triangles. 50% combo of subd and MeshFusion, with a little NDO thrown in for flavor: I built it in 3 pieces, like the concept was drawn so I could pose it as I saw fit:
Holy crap guys...so much amazing work around here! @AavaChan: Great work on that scene! @scotthomer: Nuff said... D: @Kazperstan: Looks really good! Heavy WIP sci-fi slum I'm working on atm in CryEngine 3...going to make a thread for it soon maybe...
Finally got all the Saltwater Fish Modules Painted .Man that took a while . You can see al the modules at http://mzpstudios.blogspot.com/p/saltwater-fish.html Most of them have more than 3 textures .So between 25 modules I can generate a ton of fish .

Last night I got the logic for the ship selection screen all working. I've still got to add effects and more stuff on deck in each shot. We're going to be working on getting this polished up for you, and the next big Alpha update will let you fly 3 of the 5 different ships.
AhH..that's tight man! I started modeling the same character a while back...need to get back on it. I really dig your take on this guy though! Nice job on the back, btw. I probably went through 2-3 iterations before I got something that I halfway liked.
Texture is looking really cool! should start a thread for this guy! The 3/4 angle is hard to make out the shapes of him. really dig the variation and variety in surfaces. I love the lower legs, so awesome. Maybe work in a little more variety in the roughness of the surfaces to break them up a little more?
Workin' on some crap for Dota. This is turning out to be really good hard surface practice. Using subdivision weights makes life so much easier when doing this kind of thing. Adding a bunch of support loops is a thing of the past unless I want really smooth shape transitions. <3 Modo + Catmull-Clark SubD
