Here are the maps, I've scaled them down to 1024. SPEC: GLOSS: When I export the images would the colour bit or density play a part in the texture? If so would is there a target to aim for and a way to import it right into unity? Thanks.
Happy Medium you say? http://eat3d.com/free/zbrush_stone If you haven't seen this ^ Take a watch. He uses a Morph target > Over details > Then uses the Morph brush with a Spray stroke to reduce the detail to get that Happy Medium
Got my first asset done for my little Vertical slice by the Moonwell - next up is the well itself and than another lighting/texture pass - Planning on locking down a small area so I have a visual target.
I just made it custom, just pick the image from their site and add your personal link. <a href="https://be.linkedin.com/in/jerryverhoeven" target="_blank"><img src="images/linkedin/linkedin.png" /> </a> I joined the PC group btw :)
Holy shit thanks for the feedback guys, very helpful!! Heres a lil animation i knocked up quickly, "Save target as" the image... I was lazy so i ripped the texture from the painting on my websites splashpage haha.
Sounds Intersting, that could be badass after setting it up. Might be annoying for co-workers however. "Connect" ... "Collapse to Poly" ... "Symmetry" ... "Vert Mode" ... "Target Weld" Someone from the other side of the cubicle: "Select All" ... "Delete" ... "Save"
Yeah, it's not my *first* model but it's still early enough that I'm paying more attention to getting the bugs out than making a work of art. Are you saying that 1500 poly count would be a good target to shoot for *after* triangulation?
If you read through the documentation it is very revealing. Nanite + Lumen both look like .... they were built for a quite targetted set of content, rather than being highly generalized solutions. It'll be interesting to see how the technology develops.
Haha yeah, thats actually not a bad idea, as the suggestions always tend to be the same. Would be a pain keeping it updated when new hardware comes out though. Theres also this: http://www.logicalincrements.com/ but its not really targeted to game developers.
I don't know whether I should post an image of the tutorial, can I email you the tutorial ? [IMG]http://www.polycount.com/forum/[Imgur](<a href=http://i.imgur.com/YOufh2H.jpg target=_blank>http://i.imgur.com/YOufh2H.jpg</a>)[/IMG]
