I love this idea. I work from home as a freelance artist and a custom painter. And sitting in front of the computer or paintbooth by myself all day every day gets very lonesome. I'm love to do my freelance work with in the same office as other freelancers. -

How would they know if you pirated it and used that in freelance work instead? They have a registration database. If they had reason to suspect that Joe's Freelance Graphics was using an illegal version, and checked their database and found that Joe's Freelance Graphics didn't have a licensed copy, they could investigate… -

I was freelancing for half a year next to my previous studio job and then switched to the company I was freelancing for - one of the reaons many companies don't like to allow freelancing next to working for them. In any case, I'm no longer doing side gigs and instead enjoying the time off :) -

It's too bad you want character animation because aside from that Modo pretty much rocks. If you do end up buying Modo wait a month or so until they offer a free upgrade to the next version 501. Be careful with Cinema4D you might have to buy some additional modules along with the core package depending on what you want to…
