Solved - don't know why but if you check 'Redraw scene on windows expose' in configure driver options the vertices appear as blue dots again. -
Re: UV map size.
In max, unwrap like normal, fill half of the UV space and then scale it vertically (so it looks stretched). In Maya, I have no idea HA. -

I agree brandoom. You may try checking whether vertices are necessary instead of poly's too. I find it easier to do so. -

Also you can use mental ray to bake FG and GI to texture or to vertices. Rendering>lighting/Shading>Batch bake ( mental ray ) -

1000+ hours of code? Impressive! But that's no match for the 32,382 vertices I have, or even my hidden cache of 1.75 million bytes of polygons! Touche! -

did you weld all the new attached vertices? i assume your model is broken up - so there is no way it could smooth correctly ;) -

Simply having n-gons will sometimes cause max to think theres an inversion as well, since the uv polygon has more than 4 vertices. -

(I'm new to all this) Are modular buildings okay in unity?
Is it okay to make my buildings modular for unity? (making a PC game) it wont cause any issues with to many vertices/polys will it?
