You don't need (nor want) PDF tools. Create your pages any way you prefer and export them as individual image files. Then either assemble them as PDF in Adobe Bridge (by selecting them all then save as a PDF assembly), or assemble them in any word processor (like LibreOffice/OpenOffice) then "print" then using a print to…
Was being a bit vague. If you can show me a piece of technical art that does not require a very large amount of environment work, yet demonstrates a good understanding of what a technical artist's position is, that would be most helpful. As a technical artist yourself what do you do most days of the week? Coding? Art?…
I think the cheeks could be rounded more, and add more to the sides of the face to make it rounder. I would push in the bridge of the nose on him as it gets closer to the eyebrows. Also it might help if you raised his brow a bit. More work on the texture will help too, but I'm no expert on that either. It looks good…
Really nice progression so far gamefactory. I think before continuing that you could make a few minute changes to the face. Don't mind me and this paintover. The nose at the moment is bugging me, looking at the concept there doesn't seem to be a step in the bridge of the nose and ears seems to be a tad big for her jaw. and…
[ QUOTE ] http://www.nuxx.net/gallery/d/17049-2/faster_than_your_car_dual_full.jpg [/ QUOTE ] ahhhhhhh intercity express version 2 - i f**king hate that train! i see it a dozen times or so a day when staring out of my window. one day i'd like to see one of those noisy buggers fold around a bridge or something, hehe.…
The profile view is fine-- I mean the space on either side of the nose. If you look at the scar crossing the nose in the image I linked, you see that the face is wedge shaped from the bridge of the nose back to the cheekbones-- this is very common in anime characters. [edit] I imagined you were working from existing art…
Thought I'd post two script I've been using a lot lately: IC.PolySplitRing - Created by the same guy who makes the Illusion Catalyst plugin, essentialy a recreation of the Maya tool by the same name. Polymagus Action Items - This one is actually quite old but I only recently found it. I'm liking the enhanced bridge command…
I think what is usually meant by that is polycount doesn't matter for rendering. Here it's not the polycount itself that I think will be a problem, but object's design. You can see everything through everything, can't just bake it to a box (like a fridge or old TV set for example). Most parts would need to be a separate…
The way I see a TA is someone who has technical solutions for artistic problems and also someone who bridges art and programming, being central to the pipeline. But each project/platform/team has specific needs, so there's no recipe for one. But if you need something to dip your toes, you could try maxscript, HLSL etc.…
At a certain point, people new to 3d tend to just boolean everything just because addition and subtraction via solid shapes makes sense. I'll just bolean some windows, boolean this door knob onto this door, combine these parts, etc... and they tend to not use tools that may provide better results quicker like bridging or…
