Great work, the lighting looks amazing. One crit is that some of it seems a bit overly grungey/damaged for a modern apartment. The TV + the wooden wall and floor and ceiling in the first shot, I like the details but I think it should be a bit more subtle.
The crazy thing is, the fans of NMS actually made up their own expectations for the game, despite what the developers described they would do. So, it's really understandable that they are trying to damage-control before launch. Anyway, it looks great and i am looking forward to it!
Well I'm glad you're digging the textures on the shield. If you're curious it was simply a matter of bumping the contrast on the diffuse and using it as a spec. I'm working towards improving the scratches and damage. Good luck with the bow edits, I look forward to seeing the outcome.
Cool I am glad it is working and am glad to help! Those maps help dDo when assessing where damage and wear goes. What did your curvature map look like? Did you bake it from xNormal or nDo?
I gotta say that some of the details that you have on those pillars don't read as chipped or damaged columns. But more bruised look. This kind of detail usually happens for a reason, some of those just seemed randomly placed. Specially towards the top.
Looking good Conor! My 5 cents would be that collisions cause damage and tanks can't be shot with normal bullets but rather ATL missiles or bombs. You might want to spice up the projectiles too ;) Good progress. Are you on the code too?
Hello everyone. I decided to make some changes in scale, because hammer seemed not massive. Also I made more damages to the hammer's head (this hammer was in many battles) and remade handle tape. I will make fur, when I will make textures. Next step is lowpoly.
mostly done, magazine detailing needs doing, then the damage/wear pass and specular/gloss maps (just using max material settings for specular at the moment). For some reason the text on the slide doesnt read well with the diffuse applied, having a little trouble with that.
your muscles need to relax, all your added stress is going to do more damage and make it last longer. Then start sleeping on the floor or a really solid bed. Get some muscle relaxants and fast. The best one that comes to mind, opium.
nah, it'll be far tamer than that, I'm sure. "flame throwers" (which are mostly show and little damage) and some crude projectiles. I would love to see them tear each other to shreds, but I highly doubt that'll be the case.
