I would never have known that just about anyone could edit a video game let alone become an artist in the video game world without polycount being around to guide me in 1999. Thanks to all who have made this community the best on the net.
Haha, I said the same thing, and then I beat about 7 of them in one day. Like roller coasters, the ride is over far too soon, but each one is better because you just got done with riding another. I say go nuts with it.
I want to thank you all for the help, all your help has fixed this problem and now I can move on, now I have to figure out how to set collision for when you are inside the building and its halls hahahaha yea this is getting nuts
Thats pretty sweet Ebagg, it seems like the older version was a little more classically light-hearted in tone (although this recent one was absolutely hilarious at times I thought) but I'll still probably check it out since it did net Wayne an oscar. thanks for the link
It's cool, but I think the front is too flat compared to the real car. Also you have left off the little grill thingies on the end of the bonnet, unless there were different versions of this truck? Lastly, it bugs me that the nuts on the wheels are black. But apart from that it's pretty good
for those Max nuts out there check out Neil Blevins object painter ui scripts. Its part of the Soulburn collection which is awesome. I use it pretty much every day at work to populate my digital environments. http://www.neilblevins.com/soulburnscripts/soulburnscripts.htm#Soulburnscripts_for_3dsmax
Personally, I'd add some geo in those large loops, it's not like they're a nut and bolt on a shield. If they're supposed to be that shaped, I'd chamfer the edges so it didn't look like polygons; that's the whole goal isn't it? In a case like this, I'd assume it wouldn't hurt performance.
I have already tried switching engine with same result, i am going nut over this since i didn't have this problem a few weeks ago and it start when i download and install the latest substance designer version for trial.
Looking good man, you've stayed very faithful to the concept and pulled it off well. I'm being nit picky but I feel like the browns would look nicer with some more contrast in their highlights. Can't wait to see your progress on this.
Just a small thought, and if someone was even able to do this it would be nuts if they were both up to spec. But can someone enter both sides of the competition? I didn't see this in the rules, but could someone do both the enviroment and character side to the competiton?
