@NikhilR Sorry for the late response. I really appreciate the help, I'm actually in Leeds, UK right now not Canada, I tried changing some of the things you mentioned and I would love it if you could take a look at my CV since I'm 100 percent sure that it's not a good one. should I send it over here or somewhere else? I'll…
Not sure although I think I am looking at the some kind of humongous violent Crystalline result? ( I was doing research on the sprawling network of tubes that go on forever in the industrial refineries in and around Houston ) take a gander please at the following Google earth link in 3D! ( as much as I ctrl click orbit the…
We are expanding! We are a relatively new independent games developer / start-up working on a brand new game series called 'ORION'. The game is targeted for release on all major digital platforms and a multiplayer beta is coming in the next few months. ABOUT ORION: PRELUDE ORION is a retro-inspired game series built on…
A bunch of cool things have gone on around the Polycount Community this week. Hawken has kicked off a new Low Poly Challenge, we are reaching the final days of the Team Fortress 2 Polycount Pack Contest and most importantly, there has been some stunning art all throughout the boards. If you've been living under a rock,…
^ That's right! And from my perspective as an all things vehicular subd specialist, his 72' Coupe Chevelle SS in particular I'd followed progression over the past 14 - 16mth period was an education in-of-itself which one cannot attain by just youtubing how too walkthroughs alone but practically built upon decades worth of…
Thank you so much, I appreciate the critique. This helped me out a lot, I have gone over all the textures with your notes in mind and made a number of improvements. I think it looks much better but still not 100% I will have to revisit the uvs and redo some work on the model before it's done.
just weight these to the right bone? i am not sure i understand the question. i guess a tool like nGskin would be good as it makes skinning a lot easier than maya by default and doesnt do stupid shit like more than 100% skinned
Not 100% sure but i think painting on the "normals/any" is taboo last i heard and a no no do not do that, from what i read but i do agree, i'd like to do the same sometimes, but then they will just say you have bad practice or are trying to cut corners and "really" the goal should be to fix the process of the high instead…
You definitely do get global-illumination reflections with LPV, but they're quite low-resolution compared to what you would get from an environment probe. In this screenshot I placed a large green metal wall behind me, and a perfect mirror ball and a prop in front of me. You can see that there are reflections from LPV on…
Kwramm nailed that on the head. Absolutely the moving target and very team specific, in what a TA really is. There also hasn't been a better time to get into the TA field, with games getting way more technically advanced, productivity is at a record high (and continues to speed up with content!), need for innovation even…
