Check for "Bent Normals". They're close to standard normal maps but use modified R and G channels to fake soft shadow occlusion -

Updated and tweaked a little of everything. Unable to get soft shadows due to compatibility with transparent materials without RTX. -

You really, really ought to pay more attention to what shapes are sharp/flat and which are soft/round.
