I'm working on finishing up work on my site atm. The next project is making the low poly of Square from Ashley Wood's World War Robot. The plan is to texture him like the oil paintings that Wood is known for
I'm not sure I do, an escape can be shown in many ways. It was meant to be about people escaping the blizzard and remain a beautiful scene. I don't think you have to shove robots and things in a scene to make it interesting.
You could check out Robot The Company http://robotthecompany.com/ Contact Sectaurs here on PC, I think he could help you out with that. And are you thinking of this thread? http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=79411
After looking through the Creaturebox when working on the Elderbeast (see below) I also got some inspiration to make a robot. Tri Count:10,908 Maps used: Diffuse, Specular (Gloss), Normal. x2048 Rendered in Marmoset
That robotic bust of Selwy's is crazy good, just goes to show you what you can do with the hard surface brushes in ZB when you get enough of a grip with them. Just awesome! Thank you :D
I really think you should replace or remove this image of the robots from your promo stuff. It looks like it was resized improperly and it makes a bad first impression. The new stuff you posted looks much better.
z3phon - Thank you. This helps a lot! Free_Fall - A bot? So, let me get this straight. Polycount has negative feedback robots that aimlessly wander around the forum looking for topics to troll? Weird! Pancakes - :) Thanks, bud!
@vertex_ thank you so much for your time and words. The AKM is due for a overhaul and probably going to get rid of the robot and put something else in that place. I will revise my presentation of the environment stuff. Thank you
GTFO (O)__(O) I love how well rounded your skill set is- you bust out all these dope organic forms, the BAM! some super fresh robots. glad you started a sketchbook man!
His antenna comes across as a joystick instead of antenna. Gir's arms are like robotic tentacles with little hands at the end of them. There are ringed segments that allow his arms to extend, contract, and bend. See? Where are they on your model?
