This is for an old game engine though, single diffuse map only. No roughness/metalness/etc. Photoshop would be fine for this. We used to have a bunch of tutorials for this kind of stuff. Painting gradients to look like metals, etc.

Almost stopped reading. Ditch the colored text. These guys already pointed out a lot of obvious stuff. Take some serious art classes and build on your fundamentals first. Perspective, lighting, composition, etc., etc.
I think at this point you just have to start trying some stuff out.. Try 4 versions of the floor with 4 different methods (alpha, a lot of tris, etc, etc) and see what looks the best.
