I did some tests and I'm getting a dark seam on the floater. I tried both snapping the float on the surface, and intersecting it a little, and the seam always remains. :( -

small update, some things look a little too shaded and extruded because they are floated (the big handle where it is attached to the cashbox and the lock where the key is sticked into) -

TR on Connery! Haven't really checked out the playerstudio stuff at all. Lots of helmet designs floating about though. They all kind of look the same however. -

The biggest problem I see with your presentation is there's no shadow on the ground. It's lit and posed as if standing on a ground, but it's floating. Just put a grey floor there and let it cast a shadow. -

most of the big sections are planes w/ the texture baked down to them, but I have some free floating smaller tufts to jut out some silhouette -

love the piece, but the chairs and the table seem to be floating in the air. they dont cast any shadows and reflections on the floor. it looks like someone just added them in photoshop -
