Bigjohn, dynamesh doesn't generate any triangles at all. I think it's a great addition, and you can actually go pretty far into detailing before committing to a shape, for example the default example sphere is 2.6 million points when at a 1024 dynamesh resolution, that's plenty of points to do some pretty detailed pieces…
