I'm sharing this hideous monstrosity as a free downloadable model. He's mostly quads, watertight and ready to 3d print, if you're one of the lucky few with a printer! I also posted a super simple, super basic step-by-step breakdown that answers common questions: It's here, on Artstation:…

Hi, so I have been trying to get this thing to work for an hour now with a lot of frustration. Can someone please post a step by step as to how to get 4 textures blending based on vertex colours. Mine always turns out solid black when I switch to textured mode.
in such a case, the first thing i always do. find out exactly the steps you use to get the mesh to the client and then what steps they take to open/load/preview it. i assume its some fbx stuff? i guess you do not have some weighted normals modifier or something going on on your end?
Hoping to complete an entry for this month's contest (Damn you steam summer sales :D ) It is a pugna wand! Here a partial step by step with a super majestic layout... Quick question about Particle FX: What control do we have on them exactly? In terms of editing, adding, replacing, attaching? Cheerios.
ok step by step 1. import your lowpoly 2. sculpt details 3. export both 4. bake your textures (ao, normalmap) in xnormla or max 5. apply your maps in max mudbox istn the best tool for baking lowres stuff... xnormal is a free tool for texture baking...
yea the reason i asked cause I seen vids of people modeling in modo. Not sure if they made the scripts themselves, but whenever they press a button. It does, lets say something in another program it would take couple steps. In modo, it took only 1 step. If you knwo what i mean
Nice start on the walk! It looks like the spacing at the start, where he steps with his right foot, isn't the same as when he steps with his left foot. Also be sure to track the arc of the spear. Any movement in the spear will be amplified a lot by slight gestures in the character. Think of the spear's weight and balance.
Hi! Good start, but I think a 1024*1024 map can hold a LOT more detail. Take a look around at b1ll's website, he has some great step by step mini-tutorials how to put a lot more detail to a fairly low-res map. Keep it up! Rota
