youve definatly got the foundations for a solid bust here but work more on replicating the more wolflike features on him dont go into to much detail yet just work on what makes a wolfman look like a wolfman just stare at a bunch of refrence for ages and challenge yourself to pick 10 things that make it look like a wolfman…
Never forget what you want to do. You want to learn 3D modeling, not being a concept artist. I personally probably lost 2 years worth of 3D modeling skill by trying to learn it doing my own concepts. If you do real objects, you see the mistake instantly, you have references and people can help you with it. Doing own…
Alrighty some newer stuff to post. So this was inspired by one of the Too Human screenshots (http://xbox360media.ign.com/xbox360/image/article/704/704011/too-human-20060501024926584.jpg) of the cool holographic light things... and decided to make it into some sort of holographic pillar :P So this is the high so far... I'm…
thanks for the links, it gave me some good advice about cleaning up how I present my work, will be cleaning up my presentation for projects on artstation some of them definitely could be cleaned up and show a bit more of the development side, I actually have been going back to older projects and polishing them every now…
The s90 and s95 are great pocket cameras. You can get a DSLR BODY for around that price, but try to replicate the lens range and speed of the s90 and you're looking at double if not triple the price. A 28mm equivalent f/2 is gonna set you back at least 300-600 dollars for a crop body camera. I shot with an s90 alongside a…
Greetings! I had some oral surgery done on an impacted wisdom tooth and had it removed. I have been out of commission for almost a week and just taking it easy. Just have to do it one more time in a month or so, hurray... A small update with some rough leg sculpting. A bit lumpy, still getting a feel for the shapes. The…
Thanks for the replies peoples! @ErichWK Of course I'll do everything you've said :D I totally agree with everything you've said, especially about the outdoor lights. Might be a job for tomorrow though, since I have piles of actual university work to do! @Wesley Thanks man, means a lot! Hope to see you there. @ParoXum OMG!…
Look at your screenshots with the painter's eye. Would you expect a bright grey or white object to shade all the way to pitch black in real life ? Now imagine any great looking stylized lowpoly asset presented that way. They would all look like ass. Tweak your ambient setting in your 3D app. Also have a preset when the…
Alright, so this might be more suited for another thread, but I'm going to post here since it's directly related to my current project. I've been trying to really hit the style of the Halo 4 rocks and I've gone through a good dozen sculpts to no avail. I'm not sure If I'm using the wrong brushes, not doing enough in making…
The only issue with procedurally gradient mapping in udk atm is the number of lerps you'd wind up putting in for more than a single color change. if you want a 2 color "gradient node" just make 2 color constants and lerp between them with the alpha being whatever your were gradienting over. You could do it in a custom node…
