@phil - i over looked that part! thanx for pointing it out. @jonhathan + joseph - thanx! :) Tea Monster - lol.. that was a pretty intersting story! anyway, here is some progress on the chair's texture. been a while since i textured, so im not to happy with my 1st pass. Any suggestions?
Here are some Character Design Ideas I have been working on. Everything is still vague and the sketches are rough. I haven't done any research yet, but I think this is going to be some kind of gigantic monster emerging from the sea. I am not sure yet where this is going.
Hi, good job so far, I think you should work in your human face anatomy so that the face looks more realistic, I suppose you could say they the face is supposed to be off since it's a monster but to me it doesn't seem like that is what you are going for.
Nice videos. Now I know how to put a vehicle in unreal. Silly story, I have some pawns setup like action rpg grind mobs, and some as boss fights. One of the bosses got in the car and started infinitely running down respawning monsters. Good times.
Welcome to MMO developement, make that monster 1 draw call either throw how you UV it or through code. I believe that's why the UVs are so odd on the Warhammer Online characters because we had a process of baking all the armor & clothing down to one texture at runtime.
I was kind of thinking that also. I like the idea of blood channels. But on the other hand if the sacrifice is to a giant monster instead of to the gods I'm not sure if blood channels would be needed. I how ever do want to put some blood stains on and around the sacrifice area. Thanks for the input.
I got mine the same way Monster got his (MGS employee). Picked up an extra controller and the wireless net connection and got it all set up last night. Thought Kameo was fun, and PGR3 nicely polished, but I'm not a fan of racers (other than Mario Kart).
Yeah, I'd say Fraps is the best choice. I could get decent results on my less-than-beefy machine. A friend's monsterous work machine captured video at something like 60fps (sorry, I don't have the specs for it, but i know he was doing dev for the 360 on it)
Hey Monster, thanks for the suggestions. I made a few more tweaks. http://art.lee3dee.com/files/walkcycle02.mov I also have to animate a woman walking too. any recommendations on that? I'll get my fiance to walk a bunch of time tonight, so i can see the movement.
Everyone (well, maybe not literally everyone) ragged on Doom3, but I thought it was pretty awesome - even with the monster closets. Been looking forward to Doom4 since the end of 3, so yeah - definitely psyched for this. Do we know if the story is a continuation of the one set out in Doom3, or is it a standalone scenario?
