Hi, I’m a student. My goal here is to learn what I can, collect feedback on anything from anatomy to concept. I realize it might be too early in the sculpt to really give any feedback but I’ll add progress quickly. The first post might be a little extensive so please forgive me. I made a few quick grab brush pull concepts…
Hi! I found Game Jams to be a good opportunity to learn and find new areas of interest/fun. One of my favorite jams is Ludum Dare. Doing compo, you have something like 72 hours something fitting the theme, from scratch. Switching to the Jam category expands timeframe, allows collaboration and use of existing resources. I…
I've been trying to get my sculpt to look like this concept. This is the progress so far. I want to paint it as well in the near future, oh and I'll try to update this as often as possible. Concept (Doing the one on the right) I finished the armor a long time ago. Right now trying to work on his head and hands. The hardest…
Hey fellow 3D folks! I'm a Game Art student from Germany who wants to specialize in Character Art. I'm a little timid about my stuff, but following the advice in John Troy Nickels Character Art Podcast, I'll get this out here now and see what you think of it. So this is my first Polycount post ever! :) Now let's get to the…

Hey! Making a thread here to track my progress and share my process with how I create hair for games. So first of all here is a little breakdown of the texture sheet that I am using to create this hairstyle: I've built this sheet in a way so that it can be used to create a wide range of long hairstyles. The shorter hairs…
I think doing it in engine is probably the better practice. I've been making progress on the textures. The slowest part for me currently is painting in all the masks for the different materials.
More progress shots. Updated all the textures on my pear tree. No pears yet though. I was able to snap to geo, made the process a little easier. WIP for the new bark texture.
Hey man, digging the idea for this character and progress is looking sweet already. Will be awesome if you can get ripped bandages and torn clothing with his burnt skin, looking forward to following the process :)
