hrm....I was kinda feeling games have come a little further in the last 10 years regarding voiceover talent and AAA quality releases. :) (but who knows...maybe that's what Square thinks is 'kewl' now for their target audience?)
Not an exact continuation of the stroke, but near enough. Store a morph target and then use the layer brush. All your strokes will match the same height. If you need to add more on top afterwards then delete the MT and carry on / repeat process.
The beginning is boring, maybe add some camera movement of looking at the target, sort of like a focus cam in videogames (as thats what this animation feels like, a replication of a videogame). Otherwise it is looking pretty good, excited to see it progress.
It's never your own project when making a living comes before making the games you want to make, you suddenly find yourself becoming a slave to target-audiences and constant trial & error on overcrowded phone-markets.
Skinwrap in max would be one way to go about it. Then use the deformed target object(s) as morph/blendshapes on the original. I have no experience with doing this in Maya but otherwise this is the nicest working solution I've found so far.
Doesn't look like its projecting with the uv's at all. Consider double checking your projection setup to make sure its using the right mesh data as source and target. Alternatively, try something like xnormal for baking.
If you had any hints or tips, I'd be all kinds of grateful. Not had too many performance problems yet, but basically all we've targetted have been S6's or S7's, nothing further downstream.
Really cool stuff there plus I'm of the same sentiment, you seriously have to consider leveraging existing art showcase platforms that'll potentially attract AAA class eyeballs you've of a mind targeting for the next career move.
Not sure, I'm sorry just can't remember where I read it. Anyway I think they also talked about cubemap lighting and that already supports HDR textures and should be used that way especially if targeting HDR hardware.
Yes, yes he can. Monkey radar system, spots and points out targets! Got time to work on this again this week, so hopefully i'll get more of the dragon done and post up my progress soon!
