Cheeky progress update! Did the low-poly and been cranking out the texturing so far with Painter and render in Marmoset. Constantly going back and forth to compare and tweak. Looking for any and all texturing feedback, to my eyes it doesn't quite feel cohesive but that might be because I've been staring at it for way too…
This was the answer for me! I had the same problem as OP and have been trying to solve this for two days. I use Blender, so I had my mirror modifier BEFORE my triangulation modifier. This means that triangulation happens after mirroring, so the mesh is not the same on both sides but the UVs are, hence the weird…

I wouldn't say its time wasted, every application you make counts and most studio's really do keep your profile in their database for future opportunities. There is the perspective that a rejection means "portfolio is not good enough", "there are other artists better than you" and while this might be the case, its…
Perfectblue - Yeah... that caught me off gaurd. Fixed now! ;) Upgraded to a Pro account. Kevin Johnstone - :) A lot of something went into it! I don't know if it was love though lol. I agree with you though on not being 100% sold on the walls. They flattened out a bit more than what I intended once the normals were cast. I…
That does sound cool, CheeseOnToast. Very few games are set during the seventeeth and eighteenth century and I've been hoping that Assassin's Creed III would take place in Paris in 1793. The latest game concept I came up with was a point-and-click adventure of sorts. You'd play as a lone, old bachelor, who always believed…
Holy fuck. Hah. That's amazing. So much great work these past couple of days. For the first character: the trim around the plates on his arm and the rope binding on his pants did you have some way to do that sort of quickly? Do you have a brush in Zbrush? Insert mesh brush or an alpha with some sort of repeat? How did you…
There have been times where I have not left the house in days (I work from home). I think my record was 5 days in a row. When I did have to leave, it felt like more of an inconvenience than anything. I have all my windows blocked to keep my office nice and dark. A single neon light illuminates everything.
I love this so glad someone did It, I actually wanted to try It one day but you did a great job. Make a texture of It with that army paint It had in the movie but this defiantly needs a scene to be pimped out in. :) Edit: If you could maybe give a guide to how you went about this, It would be helpful to the new comers to…
Did you change the conditions under which you played? I used to get sick when I played my Virtual Boy, but then, so did everyone else. I think it's important to sit directly in front of the screen. I I first got my dual screen set-up, I got ill, but I got over it after a few days.
