can't solve your problem, but about the use of that... we used it once to comp 4 4k textures together into a single UV space so maya would treat it as one big 8k texture, even though it consisted of 4 separate files...
Hi, you mentioned it's in matinee but you haven't said whether it's unreal 3, UDK or unreal 4, please we'd like to know!! If that can be done in udk I see no need in most peoples urgent hurry to get their hands on unreal 4.
Oh yeah, you can def cram that into a single 1024. As an example, here are a couple textures for a character of mine. The texture is a 1024 and contains 4 levels of armor/outfit/character upgrades. His weapon is on a 512 and also contains 4 levels of upgrades on it.
Ok..spent my allotted 4 hours on this model give or take 15 mins. Didn't get to really poly paint it too much or do a lot with the hair or clothes but I wanted to stay at 4 hours. edit: posted a bad profile
Studios: DICE, Blender Foundation Tools: Blender 2.8 Games: BFV, CoD "Black Ops 4", Forza Horizon 4 These nominees, define an underlying conviction why I'd initially chose this medium too express myself creatively via technology.
Holy friggits, mop! I have that book sitting not 4 inches from my left hand... It is a good book, saved my hiney a few times. Even helps with modeling folds for highpoly. It's like... what, 4 bucks? Totally worth it.
This isn't meant to be a big thing guys. It's a smaller scale type thing if you want to do this. Which is why i said each gauntlet or group will have their own thread. Much like the big 4 did. The title will be the 4 contestents names.
It turns out my best bet is no other than The Sims 4: they have a specialized deformation map system that can match clothing to a continuous body size. So a single cloth mesh to fit them all. https://www.gdcvault.com/play/1022085/Innovations-in-The-Sims-4
I'm uploading my process to youtube, it'll be done in 5 :P. I get worse results with zbrush 4 (which will be shown in the video). The screenshots above were done in zbrush 3.1, but I'd rather not have to switch programs like that, and just nail zbrush 4.
