Thanks guys ! I think I will submit these shots today or tomorrow, before my christmas holidays... I have made some minor tweaks on my shots and a quick realtime turntable, don't know if I can add this as a Bonus for my final submission...
Here is another example, this time with several meshes together, and below the base shapes I drew before any merging/sculpting. N.B. Textures, shadows and shaders are computed in realtime as you edit, so apart from the clouds and bloom this is a simple screenshot from Curvy.
Pearlescent chameleon type of paint ? It's just a fresnel that blends between two types of colors. Very easy to do if you know some shaders. And that thing on Daniel's site is even easier, that's just colored specular with noise as glossmap, my shader can do that in realtime.
The two I posted are not realtime shaders, my programming skills are practically 0% so atm there's no way for me to create them.. but any shaders are cool, it would be nice to see what you guys use and or find useful so we can swap and learn.
@FRANK3D for in-game/realtime screenshots i'd suggest marmoset toolbag, they have sales during the holidays all the time, or you can honestly just post on Sketchfab and take shots from there :) @EVOLVYN that's looking really nice! love love the color variation in the snow! :D
I was modelling a gun for the weapons challenge (which I didn't complete) and wondered, this viewport renderer is shit. All I can see a stupid fuzz picture. Is there a way to improve the quality? In the realtime viewport that is, if there isn't, there should be. 3dsmax 9 user. Cheers. This forum rocks.
Yeah that's an interesting vid. He sure could use some realtime ambient occlusion for underneath his helmet there What's the significance of that shot on the right vahl and where did that come from? I still think the actual Artistry in the facial work could be better tbh.
For realtime work the gaming cards will be plenty and probably preferable in most cases (VRAM being the obvious downside). Just don't mention film to a sales rep if you want to get affordable recommendations - that business seems to run on an entirely different tier of computers and budgets, not consumer friendly.
A personal Project that I did while exploring Unreal Engine 4. Original Concept, Responsible for all aspect Assets generated from speed tree and Megascan Terrain generated from Houdini RealTime Render Hope you all like it CC welcome :] HD render here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnikJ4DapxI
Hi everyone, I think this is my second post on Polycount so sorry if I'm posting it in the wrong place. This is a realtime character I've just finished is based on this concept here http://cghub.com/images/view/233292/ I hope you guys like it, Thank you very much.
