Yep, hoya uvs are pretty decent...of course if you want better ones look into the B+W brand. More expensive uv filters are thinner and have better coating (i think), so this reduces the additional ghosting/flaring you get when putting extra shit in front of the lens. I also tried creating gloss map for the first time and actually it does have three point lighting set-up, but that was also my first time trying it... :D… -

Yeah. There are fingerprints in there but being mostly in the gloss map they're not as obvious in screenshots. Maybe I should make them more intense Right, bullets often do have quite small text, just physically impressed into the bottom of the cartridge. I think Dustin has a point that it seems different when painted.… -

You should definitely try to make it a habit of cleaning your PC at least once a month in my opinion, keeps everything running at a great level and reduces headache in the long term. You should also monitor your GPU temps when idling and under load as well, and compare them to averages that other people are getting too.… -

Blockouts are key for iteration. Don't make it pretty until the gameplay pacing is decent. As we discussed in another thread, this only goes so far, it seems changes always have to be made late in the dev cycle. But blockouts do save a lot of artist iteration time.
