Hello, i've just saw this tutorial http://www.digitaltutors.com/tutorial/1740-Creating-Next-Gen-Game-Weapons-in-3ds-Max and under Stylized mats there is a Metal Section but my Quixel Suite 1.3 doesn't have Stylized Metal Materials! Can you please help me ?
I just spent the last 20 minutes looking for that tutorial and realized the reference picture that I am using is the same chest. doing a little more digging I realized that the guy that made the tutorial is actually a teacher of mine from school. thought that was funny. And thank you! :D
you can just make simulation and then bake it. There are tons of tutorials like that if you use google. Here is one of them : [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iUX-I1Z-hM"]Maya nCloth Dynamics Tutorial: Creating A Tattered Pirate Flag (Intermediate Level) - YouTube[/ame]
about the ears, i would suggest looking into this tutorial here: [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcYrUHRIqsE"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcYrUHRIqsE[/ame] its a very good tutorial on the ears! good luck! edit: SORRY didnt see there was an additional 2 pages on here..
I am also making a weapon for F3, anybody have any links to some decent tutorials by any chance? Would tutorials for Oblivion model export/importing work kind of the same? PS: Find Oasis, awesome place, and there's also a character from the previous fallouts to be found there.
Nice to hear from you Christoph and thanks for your reply! I only wished there where some tutorials or tips on that collectibles stuff, like also what is important at the end so that stuff is actually printable, etc. Even tutorials to pay for would be nice but it seems rare.
I'm quite happy with the skin for now. Followed this Tutorial with a few tweaks and this Tutorial with a few tweaks. WIP eyelashes and hair that is still way too symmetrical. Planning on adjusting that more. Right now the eyebrows are in the textures and there is no actual haircards. Might add a few to increase the 3D…
I'm gonna agree with Geti here. A couple of them look like scaled down drawings. I would recommend working with Color/Canvas restrictions until you get the basics down. Another Tutorial: http://makegames.tumblr.com/post/42648699708/pixel-art-tutorial Keep at it!
Millenia has a tutorial on importing weapon models into Fallout: New Vegas (same engine.) [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npPI72o9Tm0"]Weapon creation tutorial - Optional 3 (Fallout: New Vegas conversion) - YouTube[/ame] I'm sure you'll find more on Youtube.
Look at racers tutorial, give focal points like you would an image, you don't just take a picture, you compose it.http://www.nextgenhardsurface.com/index.php?pageid=racer445 This tutorial should give you a better Idea, I know you prolly are finished with this, but it's not done.
