I must play Dead Space :) Here's a simpler example in which wings and horns spawn as separate meshes and get scaled: [ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwgsqm3E5F4[/ame]
I've been working on an illustration that spawned a story out of a thumbnail 'Cursed with teeth of gemstones,The blind basilisk skulks these caverns keeping itself away from bold (or stupid) treasureseekers.'
polycount should set up a school. They could make money and actually deserve it. TBH though art school is for having fun, getting your character stained and meeting women.
Asset dump #2 I still need to add water stains to the water heater Revisited the plastic bin textures And the red bricks And the brick wall (now with crisper edges!)
Waiting for mobile spawn to work and the skinned mesh flickering to stop flickering. They said in the next version, so no biggie, you can still work in it, and I won't be done with it anyways.
Here's some more work I've been doing on this. I've started adding in some things like curtains and decal stains on the walls, as well as making more adjustments to the materials:
hmm that may just work... for a moment I had a feel that it may be achievable with sub-surface scattering but that may also be very intensive on the CPU if i wanted a lot of these spawning.
Eh, I took Doom 3 like Quake. Only shocked me once and that was a bug (zombie soldier suddently popped into existence in front of me, no spawn anim or anything).
The front planes of your bookshelves are brighter than their top planes. The cloth on the table and alter could be tattered and maybe even stained in some areas. The cloths should have their top planes painted in if they're being draped over something.
I really like it! But I agree that it needs a little breakup in color. Maybe add stains to the tables where food or ale would be spilled. Possibly change the material of some of the tables to a more dried out, grey wood color.
