Interface Thank you for your reply [Wait are you using Sub D in Maya to smooth the model?] Does that mean you can increase the number of object polygons you have created? Convert> smooth mesh preview to polygons Is this the way to go? I am making a normal map with ZBrush. Is this no good?
Ok, so I just made a software change from Mudbox to Zbrush, I'm lovin Zbrush but I still havent gotten over the interface barrier, learning the camera and brushes and stuff, this is my first update though started the legs and added way more detail [IMG][/img] Uploaded with ImageShack.us
I tried a trial of an older modo version.. But I couldn't get used to the interface. I read somewhere that it is fully customizable, and you can make it look and feel like 3ds max, but I couldn't figure it out. This new version looks neat, maybe I will try it again if there is a demo still.
OBS is what most streamers use. It's the simplest, most stable and most versatile recording/streaming software I've used. No unnecessary user interface clutter, unlike most of the professional tools, and it can handle all sorts of sources. DirectXcap, screencap and webcameras can all be run simultaneously.…
@Lamb What im going for is a fantasy MMORPG. so If you think of maplestory... thats is what i want to create.... Next Update you can : - pick any of the characters above and play it. - 1 unique attack for each class - kill a few monsters - scare the birds away - new user interface
Hey a pretty good work around for this annoying issue in CS5 and CS6. Install the program below then open photoshop, launch the inspector part of the program bottom right of the interface, right click the weird text above photoshop and choose group always. Back to the way it should be.…
Really nice post. I'm starting with 3D Modeling and this post just gives me more motivation and helps me to know where to look for inspiration or guidance. Thanks a lot! I work with user interfaces and sometimes i check one platform not mentioned that have 2D as well, which is dribbble.com Cheers!
Hmm just for clarification : that's incorrect, Maya can bake high to low without UVs on the high, there is a render-to-texture equivalent in there. The interface itself is actually pretty nice. Still a pain to use anyways hehe. There is something possible to : baking AO on the high at the vertex level, then baking that.…
I like the simplicity here. http://www.neilblevins.com/ Wondering if the mouseovers need to be more obvious? I'm dealing with artists (like myself) who hate to read. When I mouse over an interface snapshot, and see highlights over the widgets, it makes it much more obvious that clicking is going to give me the juice.
Sorry for offtopic but what project are you working on? Recently have been looking for a mod or indy project to work on and gain the experience. Will download as soon as get a stable broadband. Haven't played much with the U3 editor (except watching 3dbuzz tutorials and playing with the interface, generic browser) but will…
