Hey guys, When I Import my textures into cry-engine it shows the "compiling" texture. This used to happen for a couple seconds before the textures in the shader were fully complied, but now it takes like 5minutes for each map to compile.. its really slowing down my workflow, anyone got any ideas on how to get it back to…
OK this pisses me off. Why the hell do you have artificial loading time spinny things? Not cool. After waiting for a useless color shifting wallpaper I went to the Portfolio page, which loads for few seconds for FOUR SMALL IMAGES. Then I went to the first image, again loading while there's only a bunch of tiny images. I…
So I'm starting this thread to show my path of progression to making a piece for my schools spring show. Which eventually should my piece be good enough, would help me land a job. The type of job I'm trying to land would either be in movies or games, I'm pretty open minded there. However I'm going to lean my piece more…
lulz! sup peeps and thanks for the good laughs! I've finally got some progress to show, sorry for being lazy and slow and just an all-around bum. :) I've developed new-found respect for anyone who does hi-poly hard-surface modeling. keeping those edges crisp and the planes even is TOUGH.
While other Electromander descendants moved landward, this branch of the family took another path. Eschewing speed for colorful warnings and an even more potent shock, this slow-moving beastie simply flows fearlessly through the reefs where it makes its home, feeding on small creatures caught unawares in its stunning…
My crit is to slow down with the story and spend more time on your model before showing it, this is a very early stage and needs to be further along modeling wise before we can really help you out too much. Story hardly matters until you have a finished piece so save working on that for later.
We have played BF1942 in the past on our new server. It's hard to get enuff guys to make it worth while. Also, I'm a Desert Combat fan till BF2 shows up....Old BF1942 is just a bit too slow for me. Altough I'd still play with my [PC] buddies any time.
Yep, it's definitely good to stick to something and persevere, but every once in awhile take breaks from this character and do some other studies. When you go back to her you will have learned something new, feel refreshed, and progress much faster. Overall studies will help the flow of your project, not slow it down ;)
hell i hate max, MAX totally sucks balls... but hey i gotta work with them all... both maya and max have totally slow modeling tools but yeah that does not mean you cant do great work its just gonna take you a bit longer. Snefer showed me the way.
I would reccomend putting season 1-4 on netflix and watch them that way. There's stuff that happens in those seasons that it's really tough to get caught up on. I did that over the summer and now watch it live. It makes every other show appear really slow. Add Simpsons and Entourage to that list and that's all I watch.
