Sunday 9:30am 12/21/14 Christmas came early for us: Wake up Quixel cats! It's a New Dawn! I said multiple uv's!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe some of you already knew. It was a revelation to me. Hope you wake up soon and start trying it. Peace!
I´m really having a hard time keeping everything quads. :) I´m using Max 9 and the hair is more or less just a placeholder. I thought about just alphamapping the hair, but I´d really like to know how you guys would tackle this?
It's your UV's, from the stretching of the triangular shape's corners to fix you would have to edit the UV's and rebake your textures, and in the process you'll end up with a slightly denser mesh (9 verts per triangular shell?). It is good to know why this happened, but I wouldn't sweat it.
will probably upgrade from my current 770/4GB. i had a 980ti on the radar for a while but will just go with the new stuff then and skip the 9-series entirely. that is as soon as we have actual test results. i wonder if it's possible to get a card without coil-whine for a change? :)
a friend of mine at work (r4ptur3) gave me great advice to enlarge the shot gun to be more inline with the fact that this kid is only 8 or 9 years old and a double barrel shotgun would be huge in the hands of an 8 year old. I also enlarged the canteen for the same reasons.
Near the end of the SF data in the shader, it says: proporder:2-1037-1306-533-447-69-9-177-571-626-145-476 Remove -476 from that list, and it should work again. This is due to a bug that was in 0.29, in which you saved the shader, most likely
Right, I think ive got to the point where im finished so any opinions would be great. Thanks guys and for me, its been a good learning process. Final tri count - 5450. Programs used: 3D Max 9, Photoshop CS3, Mudbox, NVfilter.
Cool thanks Slum, apparantly its not free but were looking into it. Thanks CrazyButcher but it only does one texture it seems and i could not get it to do both textures in Max 7 or 9. And the render just shows up grey. Lot closer this time but so far no luck.
If the studio knows what they're doing and have planned things correctly, there really shouldn't be any crunch time. Our crunch time has been -extremely- minimal over the past 9 months. Maybe towards the end of a sprint I'd have to put in an extra hour here/there, if that.
