Liking the idea so far, but the execution needs some loving imo. The steampunk concept is easily expandable, and items such as the cane can easily become a more advanced piece. Items such as a hand held watch in a steampunk design hanging on the inside of his jacket can also be made without hogging tris. Overall it lacks…
[ QUOTE ] The brief is a bit odd though, Desert Eagles aren't sophisticated technology and are allowed, but steam engines have too many electronics? I guess it's a push for a Post-Apoc/Fantasy combination, but it's a bit confusing nonetheless. [/ QUOTE ] I think I understand why though. If steampunk was allowed, how many…
I dont like SteamPunk but this is cool [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUxsCUVe5QU&feature=share"]SGNL By Sony Goes Steampunk - YouTube[/ame] F Series Vaio gone steampunk by a pro designer
Nice idea ! however be careful with the steampunk, it's really easy to mess it up, the term is so badly used everywhere that people aren't even sure what it is anymore, currently there's nothing steampunk in any of your mood board so maybe just drop the steampunk, your design is already really nice like that!
draco is lolz. i like him edit: i will say that your steampunk environment is hardly steampunk, i would consider renaming. looks more like an average mine/war scene. steampunk needs moar ridiculously scaled gears/blimps/windmills/propellers.
"Steampunk Barman" - Concept Sketch. A quick 90 minute concept sketch of a steampunk barman for the bar in my steampunk restaurant that I am building in 3D for the Bi-monthly Environment Art challenge. The thread is here: https://polycount.com/discussion/217980/the-bi-monthly-environment-art-challenge-march-april-65/p1
Cheers mate. Well if you look at the style then yes, though some might argue it isn't truly steampunk because it isn't steam powered (no pun intended) . More like liquid powered. So yeah, by style it's more steampunk than cyberpunk, but by technical aspect it wouldn't be necessarily steampunk. I don't think it…
It seems like nobody has the balls to go all out Steampunk, it always has to be mixed with magic or fantasy. I think the fact that the genre has been overtaken by goths sort of muddies the water a bit as well. and I just found out Lego is doing a steampunk line: http://io9.com/holy-lego-is-making-a-steampunk-line-496044951
Hey Polygoblin, First of all, I'm jealous of this design and idea. You can have some serious fun with anything relating to Tesla. The forms you've used all over the model offer a great silohouette...especially that weird squiggly offshoot on the bottom. My only critique right now is that, looking at this with fresh eyes,…
@Dinka If you goto "show overlays" in top right of viewport (is icon with 2 circles) you can tick to remove grid and axis and 3d cursor. I pushed onwards as I only have a few more days to commit to this challenge. I have other projects to do as well. There is a another concept sheet on Joan Piquelloren's…
