It should. This is just a 2d effect happening in texture space, so its after the vertex offset. You could possibly generalize the math to be 3d. No idea what it would look like though. It's this. Basically its what happens if you project the coordinate plane onto a sphere, then rotate the sphere upside down, then project…
Oh, i never even though about using a grid for circle practice. I usually just try and make really quick ellipses that actually meet up in a nice way. I wonder if your way might be better for control. That leaf hopper is real sweet btw. How long did that first one take? The leaf edge in that drawing makes the perspective…
Yes, things like triggers are a fine use of polys unless this is a DS game or something. But in that case it's probably not even important to be able to see through the trigger guard anyway. Alpha is often saved for intricate foliage (ferns etc.), hair, and other intricate details that would cost far too many polys to…
Maybe the scale controller got changed somehow, for example by wiring it to something else in the scene or having a Scale List with a different entry being active. Check in the motion tab of the control panel (solid circle/sphere with motion lines to the left). Default is Bezier Scale.
great sounds like you "got it". On the otherhand, I suppose I worded that description kinda vaguely considering how easy the procedure for a successful lasso solve: But if anyone else did not get it. Consider Maze's lasso example where his "tiny" lasso selection area results in a failure to select all the edges…
Renaud Galand I try "4x4/2x2" Sampling, and... It looks good ! And of course, baking speed dramatically different ! 1KK Quad-Geo / 4K Map : 1x1 : ~5Min [Artifacts on Curved Places] 2x2 : ~15Min [Everything looks good, like xNormal bake] 4x4 : ~60Min+ [Almost the same result, like 2x2 !] 8x8 : ???Min COLOR=DarkOrange]Makes…
Hi everyone. There are 2 issues I'm having with the september UDK. The first is the red circle. For some reason, all my surfaces look like someone washed them with the same rag they used to rebuild their car engine. I, and my instructors for that matter, are stumped as to what the problem could be. I've tried recreating…
The horizontal scratches on the trigger are too uniform and don't really match the wear pattern on an actual gun. Look at the first reference photo for an example of extreme wear; the bare metal is in two distinct strips, starting a bit behind the front of the trigger. The patterns on the handgrip are vertical, whereas in…
Thanks for the reply EarthQuake. Sorry I wasn't very clear on what I meant by this. It's a small thing, but I really like the way in Marmoset 1 where you can hold down ctrl+left click and rotate the model one way inside of the circle that pops up and then another way outside of the circle that pops up. here is an image of…
I just caught up with all the episodes (Hulu is fucking genius!) and just caught up on this thread and people have some really interesting theories. I personally don't think Jacob possesses or shapeshifts at all. Jacob is Jacob. It's Jacob's counter-part (Smokey) that does all the shapeshifting and posing as deceased…
