Very true oXYnary, but I have Polycount and ConceptArt to thank for getting the local sketch group started here in Dallas. So the one helps the other. It's useful to approach a group knowing people by their reputation and their work; having an online presence makes for better recognition sometimes. /jzero
Starting off with some conceptarts I'm currently working on. I decided to do some weapons. So here are some one-handed-sword concepts. It's my first time to paint starting from greyscale... Atm I'm also planning to model at least one of these later on.
You missed the wooden beam on top floor and that wooden piece, whatever it is. The gazebo thing is ia bit nconsistent on the conceptart, but at least the front legs are more under the roof, not straight on corner. The original art is really fun and wonky, you could go even more with the curves.
Hello everyone, I welcome any critiques. Close to finished with this tavern from a Blizzard concept image for Diablo III. tnx blackula snowfly , looking good so far. Maybe tone down the background a bit so the foreground will become more clear in the overall picture. did a SP for the conceptart Selfportrait day (PS crashed on me in the end :( but i managed to recover most of what i had
Well we could do the Freemont area. That has better parking options (to a point). ? If we hold it Saturday there is a possibility of getting the conceptart meeting at the same place (or afterwords). Its a great way to meet more Vid Game artists (and others) who don't browse polycount as much.
thanks for advices !! I used about 2 mounths, but I've worked 7-8 hours for week. @Shrike The right image's colors are great, for the weapon, I've used the original conceptart colors, but I prefer your colors, I'll fix them. I really appreciated your advices.
Yayyy! Indeed I'm also gonna have to thank you, Ben, for pressurising me into going to the ConceptArt workshop... it's really helped my artwork a lot and I learned so much there. If you hadn't been chastising me over MSN, I'd never have gone. Hooray for Polycount!
