I've been trying to use Blender more, and have started using it to create/export stuff to UDK (via FBX). I've been also trying to work on creating a bunch of Python scripts to mimic what I often do in Max/Maya, etc. so we'll see how that goes. Sure, Blender 2.5 isn't done yet, but it's quite awesome already. :)
well what I meant before was to save the settings as default you revert to the 1st channel hit reset UV channels open the uv editor and then save that state as the default one. If it doesn't work:* re install max * contact Autodesk, or check for updates (I never had this though) * write a script that wraps adding the…
Won't work. RTT renders from the POV of the UV itself, so if you have overlaps in the UV, one chunk will be rendered after the other, completely overwriting the previous pixels. Instead you might try a script/plugin that unwraps your mesh, converting it from UV space to model space. Then you can render that mesh using the…
Hi, even if you don't use it as your main image viewer, you can still install irfanview for it to take care of such things. I'll post my setup if I can find it tomorrow. Basically a friend wrote me a little script doing the following : right click a psd > send to > jpg created in the same folder, plus a copy in a artdump…
James, James... now if you put the link that has 2 t's why would you spell it wrong? Seriously though there's not much set up needed. Whargoul has a great script that will actually create whatever base bones you need in Maya. I would use that and model around the bones so it deforms correctly. Of course that is if you are…
its a macroscript, you will need to use "customize ui" and either assign keys or create icons for the macroscript yourself. also if installed properly, you dont have to run the scripts manually, as they will be auto executed on start. I think max help actually tells you how to use macroscripts. there will be a…
If you're making belt loops as floating geometry, surely it's much much easier and more accurate to project all the belt loops as geometry, rather than manually doing anything in photoshop? instance the geometry, space it along a spline if you need a lot of them, use advance painter script if you're using max to place them…
have you checked if the files that appear in those error messages are present? e.g \3ds max 2008\stdplugs\xNormal_3dsmax9_2k8_sbm_...dle the way I see it the dle class could not be loaded (perhaps damaged, or deleted or moved from its place) and that's why you get that chain reaction or errors because those scripts rely on…
shift + > regularly stopped working on me too. i had to reset something within maya to get it working again, no idea anymore where that setting was located though. anyway, if you're fighting to grow and shrink selections, then there are much nicer alternatives, e.g. check out koshigaya's or mjpolytools script packages…
i picked up the G15 from Logitech. I have all kinds of macros setup on the keys to the left. It has a small lcd window you can write scripts for and it's awesome for gaming. That was under 100 bucks so I don't see why I would pay 1500 when I could get a quad core processor and a new dx10 graphics card.
