@Alex_J I am glad to hear that. When I imported them the first time, I thought the same about the wall. Unfortunately, the moss is not defined in the mesh. But maybe I am able to find a workaround for that. I really like the idea of breaking up the ground with meshes and will implement that for sure. It is funny you…
It's generally due to poor management in the company. They are either overloading their artists with work and not properly allocating time for any of them to review applicants tests, or they are simply not directly assigning the task to anyone and so all potential reviewers are ignoring it since it's not their job. Poor…
I agree and think the concept lends itself to a stylized / hand painted look. I'd go ahead and block in your key and fill lights on a project like this. Lighting is a big driver of composition, form and color. It can be helpful to iterate on it throughout the process rather than thinking about it as an end point in a…
Slow things down, keep to the big shapes and ALWAYS compare to reference. Your sculpt has gone too hard and too defined already. Smooth out what you have done, use a clay brush, turn the intensity right down and slowly build things up and compare to reference. Sculpting is about building things up in layers, and the…
Since you've got a car, you could try getting the fuck out of Vegas: https://matadornetwork.com/trips/13-epic-landscapes-that-define-nevada/ https://stevesieren.wordpress.com/2010/06/07/landscape-photography-las-vegas/ https://www.outdoorphotographer.com/on-location/travel/vista-las-vegas/ I'm not sure how close any of…
Sort of expanding on Pior's comment, I think having a really well defined goal helps. Do some projects where you have strong references or concept art. Sculpt a real person, like an actor, so you know when something looks off. You'll learn the software by solving little problems as you encounter them. It's basically sculpt…
Thanks for the feedback, just to clarify: Could you provide an example of what you define internal and silhouette lines to be? Your description makes me believe you're not referring to the outline controls. Similar to the above, i'm confused on this one. The "bias" slider should be all you need for this, as it pushes the…
I'm actually happier with the result I'm getting when I first bake the light set to static - then after the bake, set the same light to movable; much sharper, more defined shadows in the bake. This is giving a better result than when set to stationary, both before and after baking.... Going to go forward like this unless…
Sorry about the concept not displaying, I've replaced it with a link, unfortunately it isn't very helpfull as for the colors ^^. Thank you a lot for your comments and links, I will carefully read them. I think you definately have a point with the green, and more than the reflections I'm thinking about maybe making a green…
the front piece looks like it was taken from a different model and added onto this one because of the extreme difference between the amount of scratches, tone down the scratches up front. i cant see what the lower guns barrel is like? im not sure if its your lighting but the barrel should not be a black silhouete, you…
