My G92 Chip can't be soft-modded. Was the first thing I tried. Some other guys told me they got a GTX285 and max was running very smooth with even a 3 million polygone mesh inside. Whats about this opengl thingie? I don#t use it anymore in max.Is it still a lot in use by professionals? I'm really wondering why people are…
Clunky Clunky Clunky, that's Maya's interface in a nut shell. XSI is great, good tools for modeling, rigging and animation. Rendering in it takes getting used to, but is quite powerful. It also has the best support for Game mod and indie work with free and reduced fees for commercial works (mod tool only). XSI Explorer…
Hey every one sorry for the long delay had RL issues that came up. So after everyones crit and reading and viewing a few post and some of the advice on poopinmymouth. I redid the base once again and believe it has a better topology. I'm showing both that I have done due to one has beveled edges (advised for normal mapping)…
I think that Sobel math style "rate of change in normal direction across <n> pixels" is what causes seams issues working in UV space . in Blender you could just do dot product with world space normal map ( Considering the world space normal map is baked as direct output (emit) with -1-to-1 scale ) It gives same edge for…
Hi! Congrats on finishing the project :+1: Presentation-wise, I think currently the lighting doesn't help to sculpt the model's features. Perhaps start with a 3 point lighting setup. When choosing the background, I'd be careful with contrast and think about how it affects the character lighting. I think white background…
Model train renders that I did in Blender. After using Blender for a solid month now I can say that in some ways its a lot easier to use then Maya. I still have to get used to a lot of things but at least with these models Im taking my first steps. The only thing I really want from Blender is the ability to put a camera…
well my gear didn't go on the fritz but nevertheless, storm continues to throw up some very pretty aurora over regions they're not normally ever seen - like where I live Blender (EEVEE) Pureref Inscape Gimp Octane Render (Blender)
We are in the process of developing an anime-style indie game in Unity, with emphasis on character presentation and stylistic visualization. The project is currently in active development. Core systems are in place. Iteration is occurring. It is currently composed of a programmer, an animator, and a 2D artist.…
It's not for real-time rendering, although the technique in the video Alex_J posted would be perfect if possible in a render engine like v-ray. Having geometry at the intersection who's texture could be blended between the wall and floor texture would be the ideal solution.
