MUCH nicer low poly :-) jkm pointed out a lot of the things you can still do to chop it ever further, particularly those rims on the shaft near the underside of the blade. other things-- on the flat top/bottom of the handle; there looks like there's a floating radial vert in the middle (where the shaft intersects). that…
I tend to agree with Dado Almeida: I'm not sure why posemaniacs is so popular. Fairly flat 3d model floating in space with its insides on the outside? Not sure how helpful that can be.
Drew++: Realy nice work on that gun, altough the render is a bit to flat for my liking. Just wondering, on the wirers you have posted, the R and such is made by floating geo, right?
Here is a bit of code in C# for a quasi Active Reload in Unity3D. Put this on an object in the scene and run. Can be used for anything that requires timing, use your imagination ;) . More code for stuff on the way. using UnityEngine;using System.Collections;//There are many ways to skin a cat, this is my way. Hopefully it…
Decided to create some books and got some normal baking errors. So basically I'm trying to bake my highpoly book on low poly but getting some gradients in places where pages are located. 1/ So this is my low poly geo and shading in blender: 2/ low poly with baked normal map error (getting strange gradients from highpoly…
Couple quick points: 1. In comparison to Frannys sculpt yours looks too soft and mushy, without many hard, defined planes for light to bounce against. Would definitely be worth revisiting that IMO. 2. It looks like you're not using any normal map at all in the textured shot as it comes across as incredibly flat. If you are…
Looking sweet. Might want to increase the micro bump strength, so the top layer is not so flat-looking? I took this photo of moss recently, snow was still falling in Vermont, so maybe the moss looks more scrawny in cooler times?
I dig the atmosphere you've created, especially the lighting. The foliage on the other hand looks really flat and doesn't look like it's anchored to anything. It's like there's no plant, it's just leaves floating around
Do you have a special workflow for producing assets quickly? yes, cubemap or even just a hemisphere sky, something with a gradient instead of just a flat color. I never make a 3d scene without it; it fixes areas which clip to black, which is a tell-tale sign of computer games graphics (never happens in Hollywood/TV). With…
