This is the metal crate used to trigger some ghost boxes in the level. The shader has a reflection cube on the metal but I used an alpha in the diffuse to make it not appear on the exclamation mark. The background is the sand and dirt material I created.
diffuse and maybe spec. thats it. as i mentioned it earlier i want to improve my handpainting skills. and when i hear the word hand painting i think of games like diablo, wow, torchlight etc.
hey new update! slowly worked on it throughout the weekend. still have to work on some of the diffuse and still have to optimize some topology and have to fix the back faces on the tires as well any more crits/comments on it?
Best I got...also has shoes and gloves, I have no idea what to do with it's Normal mapping or Diffuse or anything really...I am stuck T_T Spent the entire night trying, did not work.
I a decent diffused Ring flash is the best idea for taking any texture shots. I got a hdd with around 40k textures now that I've collected over 5+ years mostly with my own camera.
awesome advice in here just wanted to chime in and say, with the amount of information on your texture you could easily halve the size and not lose anything. that large a sheet for this style of diffuse is o-o-o-o-overkill
hey people update time, finished the diffuse texture and started the specular next up is creating a normal map using the nvidia ps filter (tutor told me i had to as thier not teaching zbrush at the mo)

Since I'm fairly new to polycount, i can't find anything to crit about other than drooling over the art work..With just the diffuse pass on, i think it looks impressive already...good job :)
