hey, good point there JO420. Didnt notice that before. Ill try to scale them in a little in the low poly. Worst case scenario ill just have to go in and modify the sculpt with a slimmer model. Thanks for pointing that out!
So first thing first, is to setup reflection probes and lighting. Here is the scene that I'm working with in Unity3D, I guess this is a good scene for it. This is a scene that I modified a bit, It comes from RTP Relief Unity Asset Package.
you could counter the squising with texture matrices assuming you do something like large scale applying to surfaces it's relatively easy to modify texture coords of brushes and such, then you could scale the texture back to perfect proportions
Yeah, well our programmer said he didn't have time to build a game engine, so we'll go with somehing that's already up and running and just add scripts and modify what's already there to our liking. -Phil-
Here's the low poly - 4,440 tris. Critique welcome! NOTE: There appear to be some ngons on the dial face, but there really are edges there lol. For some reason the lattice modifier wasn't reading all the edges... Uploaded with ImageShack.us Thanks! Jessica :)
Yeah I planed to add more details to the model. If my mesh is merged? My smoothing modifier is above the symmetry, so technically its "merged". It would cause problems if I had smoothing below symmetry tho...
stumbled across a similar problem as i accidently hided some vertices. after i apllied the uv modifier ii wasnt possible to select some verts either. and those verts where the hidden ones. same problem ?
Are there overlapping (coincident) faces between the high res and low res models in those areas? That will cause problems. If so, just apply a Push modifier on the high res mesh with a really small value to move the face apart a bit.
woa, thanks for the help guys, ill try to modify it, but im not gonna spend too much time on it, might destroy the fun on working on this thing, ill post a screenshot when ive got something new:) thanks again.
That is something I'm working on. I used the PS script from Simple Viewer. It turns the whole page into a swf and I haven't gotten the nav inserted yet as I can't figure out how to modify the generated gallery.
