She's very appealing and believable as a character. However, I would have gone with a more stylized approach for the folds on the jacket. Something more in line with some of the refs you are. Basically, less folds and bigger, more silhouette defining folds. It would also have created great contrast with the tight jeans.
I did some quick paintover on some edges that are not helping to define the silhouette (in red) and some places where you could add more geometry (in green): Also, what heboltz said is very true. You don't need to keep loops and stuff like that if you're not going to subdivide or deform it.
I agree with the portfolio comments above. The bathroom materials aren't well defined, but the SWAT car and computer are much better. It's really disappointing when you click a folio link and immediately see COMING SOON right in front of you, but I'm sure you will get that piece done and placed in there eventually.
I have started to block out the buildings in the area. I intend to go back and break them up after I get the area defined. I think I have decide to place the throne in between the pillars but I may change my mind as I move on. [IMG][/img]
@Khronos - Thanks man! although the design isn't mine, it's the in-game skin model http://www.lolking.net/models/?champion=43&skin=1 no I haven't heard of Cedric Seaut but thank-you for showing me! @CocoaCup Thank you! I definately can't wait to start texturing! :) Update 06.
Nice! Haven't seen that one before... when did you do it? This is a texturing style that I am experamenting with... its been a lot of fun and I've been wanting to try something different to break away from my norm. Thank you; I will definately try bending out the leaves.
Thanks everyone ! Optinium -> i actually sculpted them in zbrush, i did a retopo and baked them, imported them in udk and voila =) You can see thoses meshes in previous pages Prodigga -> simply in the material, with a mask to define where to add some reflection and set a flat normal map =)
There are a few heroes with short fur, such as Brewmaster, that you can use for reference. I would say that less detail is better. The zip and potentially some stitches, plus the fact that it's clearly a teddy bear, should sell that the bear is covered in short fur without you having to define the texture too much!
Pretty certain that isn't Snatch... however I have been known to be wrong. Just doesn't quite fit for me ... although definately some kind of Cockney film. Never saw that other Guy Ritchie film... erm Rock a Fella or what ever it is called - any chance its that? :o
I was just thinking of the matrix, I do think they look good overall but the quality between the guns vary alot. When displaying them like this you could definately work the metal materials a bit more on some of the weapons, some on the other hand has really nice surfaces to them.
